Thank You – September 2019

Thank you from both me and Gary for another amazing Nelly’s By Night. Whether you are a returning player, new to larp, or a veteran trying something different, we appreciate your trust in us and in each other, and your amazing commitment to your characters and the story you were building together. Thank you for your patience with the heat and the difficulties it caused, and your enthusiasm despite it.

Thank you Gary for handling much of the communications when I was deep in deadline crisis. Thank you to Jesse for security, Joel for his runtime support in the kitchen, and Lysander for character writing. Thank you to Jayjay, McKenna, and Danielle for bringing treats, thank you to Daniel and Vivianne for driving food around, and to Adam-Ali and Éloi for carrying it. Thank you to Jackalope Live Action Studios for the use of Larpweaver in beta and support when things got a bit gnarly, to Dames Making Games Toronto for their space, to Malabar Toronto, and to Tanya at The Darling Mansion. Also thanks to Gabriel Winchester and Yorick Mandrake.

Part of the reason I initially wanted to create this larp was just so I could play Vampire in a way I enjoyed, so it was surprising to me how enjoyable it was to see everyone bring this world back to life. It was also a lot of fun to see Gary revisit a character that he didn’t truly begin to enjoy till his last night playing him. Photos on the way soon.
